The history of a style
Sébola is a desire to bring together fashion designers, graphic designers and artists to create an innovative and stylish range of sportswear and lifestyle clothes and thus contribute its own small personal touch to active sportswear.

ImageSportswear is governed by strict codes and almost the entire offer adheres to these.  This is especially the case with running where technical requirements influence the style:  a running garment is easily recognisable and will not be used much for anything other than running.
Sébola wanted to approach sportswear by giving style a lot more scope but without harming performance.

We therefore decided to surround ourselves with creative fashion designers and graphic designers and called on artists.  One of Sébola's original features is to offer printed visuals on sportswear.  Why not wear sportswear outside of the sport it's usually worn for, for example in daily life, when cycling to work, for going out etc?

So we wanted graphic designers and artists to have their say.  The first guest is Knapfla, a young artist who expresses herself with drawings, small hand-bound books and textile motifs.  About her someone once wrote "a hand and a coloured pencil and you find yourself setting off on an ocean voyage through a universe of life and gentleness."  The coloured pencil, Knapfla's favourite tool, is used on some of the visuals she designed for Sébola, just like the headless characters you come across in some of her designs.  For more information about Knapfla: www.myspace.com/knapfla .

We wish to invite other artists to come and express themselves for Sébola.
